Fishing Pond at Lil Ponderosa
There is nothing better than a day spent outdoors fishing, and at the Big Rock Dude Ranch, guests can put their angling skills to the test. This expansive fishing pond is brimming with crappie, catfish, bass, and bluegill. Guests are sure to have a fun time during a catch-and-release fishing adventure. Plus, rod, real, and bait are all provided.
Gem Mining at Lil Ponderosa
Go mining for geodes and gems at this awesome activity. Visitors of all ages will have a blast sifting through the dirt to find sparkling treasures. In each bag of geodes, guests will find gems from all across the world including quartz crystal, amethyst, pyrite, serpentine, rose quartz, selenite, jade, turquoise, and more. These are amazing souvenirs!
Petting Zoo: The petting zoo gives kids and kids at heart the chance to bond with adorable baby animals and is included with your ticket. Guests can pet and feed gorgeous goats, ponies, rabbits, llamas, geese, chickens, ducks, peacocks, and various birds. The feed can be purchased at the General Store for only $3, though the petting zoo area is free. Be sure to capture the moments with your camera, too!
Heritage Museum: With your ticket you get admission into The Heritage Museum. This museum features tons of relics and treasures from the Civil War era, as well as local primitives. See old photos from days long ago, equipment that was used to produce goods, and so many other amazing relics. The museum is located inside the General Store where you can buy tons of fun souvenirs including cowboy hats, t-shirts, and yummy snacks!
