The Shops at Canal Place is a popular shopping venue in New Orleans, LA.

It is located in a 32-story skyscraper known as One Canal Place. The Shops at Canal Place inhabit the bottom three levels of the structure. The facility is attached to The Westin New Orleans Canal Place. The two venues share a parking garage, and both structures were constructed in 1982. Hurricane Katrina caused damage to parts of the building, and the Saks Fifth Avenue had to be remodeled. It reopened in 2006.

There are a variety of popular and well-known stores at the Shops at Canal Place, but there are also a variety of shops that are lesser-known. All of the shops are higher-end retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Saint Germain and Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry.

There are a variety of events hosted by the Shops at Canal Place throughout the year that benefit the community, like their yearly “Salvations” event. This event features elaborate pieces of furniture that are made completely of recycled goods. These pieces of furniture are auctioned off to benefit The Green Project in New Orleans, which is a non-profit retail store that sells building supplies with the mission of promoting sustainability. Another popular event that is hosted by the shops each year is the “Sippin in Seersucker” event, which benefits the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. At the event, guests partake in southern food, music, cocktails, fashion and art. There is live entertainment at this event as well as a raffle.

For those who require these services, The Shops at Canal Place offers concierge services in addition to personal shopper services. Gift Cards area also available.
