The current Blue Star Art Complex was formally piece of the farmland owned by the King William Neighborhood. The place was settled in 1860s by German immigrants who constructed most of the big historic homes within the place. The place was revitalized starting 1960 after spurring the Walter Mathis efforts that brought & restored 15 huge historic homes.
All visitors are invited to eat & drink in the complex bars and restaurants or shop from the various retailers while enjoying the experience of the wide diversity of the art. You can also tour the Blue Star Contemporary, the first & longest-running venue for modern art or tour the great artist showrooms all spread around the property. People enjoy several activities around the property such as biking or running along the river. Others admire living in the creative complex.
