Goggleworks Center for the Arts is part of the Pennsylvania Glass Trail, a tour of glass art artisan. It takes place on specific weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
The Pennsylvania Glass Trail is the complete tour that goes from Lancaster to the LeHigh Valley, down Route 222. Goggleworks is at the center of this trail. It's considered the major focal point for visitors and tourists.
You'll get the opportunity to see some of the independent glass artists' studios and galleries. Although many aren't familiar with glass art, it's very popular in the art world and visitors on this tour will get to learn about and see the many glass shops.
It's more than just a tour, however, as you'll get to see exhibitions as well as participate in activities and orientation courses. You don't have to travel to the Pacific Northwest to see great glass art exhibits. You can find all you want at Goggleworks Center for the Arts.
Goggleworks also offers many workshops and classes to interested individuals. Some of the classes include drawing, glassblowing, painting and dance. The classes not only range in media but also in experience level, which makes it ideal for the beginner.
The second Sunday of the month brings open house to the public where you can learn about and participate in the different arts. Under the background of live music, you'll get to view the ceramic studio, wood shop, jewelry and hot glass blowing facility.
